I'm a fullstack developer in Edmonton Alberta Canada with a love for solving problems. I have experience in both front and back end languages, with a focus on React, PHP and have started delving into Python. When not coding I can be found knitting, reading, or playing D&D.
I am passionate about open source projects and helping the dev community at large. I am currently a board member with the Dev Edmonton Society and have been working within the community to foster new meetups and networking opportunities. My latest project with them has been organizing the Mega Meetup at Edmonton Unlimited as well as researching and writing grant proposals to bring in more funding for the society.
Atomic Improv is a local comedy duo that has been preforming all over the world for over 30 years. They hadn't had their website updated in several years and much of the content was out of date.
In order to nail down the design we ran through a design sprint, took a lot of feedback from the client and ended up settling on a dark theme with details like a brick wall background and neon light elements to nod to the years the client spent doing stand up comedy at clubs.
The client was already familiar with the Wordpress ecosystem so we chose to keep that as a base to build on. I created a custom theme using php and sass.
I was also responsible for checking accessability, that it met WC3 standards and the creation of a styleguide for the client.
A portfolio of projects I have worked on.
When considering the design of this portfolio I used the brand styling that I developed while I was in school. I really enjoyed the process of iteration, flexing my design skills and getting to come up with personal branding that fit me as a developer.
The purpose of this project was to create a directory of developers where the user can search for the developer that best suits thier needs.
The user can navigate to the different categories of developers. On these pages there are cards with the developers information including if they are active or not.
